Around Tulum

Tulum is definitely one of the most enchanting places on earth!  The town of Tulum is small and home to a vibrant community.  We highly recommend a day of exploring the town and walking the Avenida Tulum, to spend some time with Tulum’s residents and do a little shopping!  It's a quick 8 minute car ride from the beach.

The cenotes of the Yucatán are a must-see while you are staying at Coco Tulum Beach Hotel.  A vast network of underground rivers feed these amazing, crystal-clear pools of water underneath the rock of the Yucatán.  Accessible by openings in the earth, these cenotes are considered places of spiritual significance by the Mayan population.  Vast caves are in some cenotes, with huge stalactites and stalagmites.  Chichen-Itzá is a great day trip, and the monkey reserve takes you to another world.
